PEOPLES', observing the plurality of experiences and differentiation of contexts that it represents, has the mission of keeping alive the memory of participatory practices and transformations of local authorities, and also fuelling the debate through the dissemination of materials and information, the support and organization of events, research activities and evaluation of participatory practices and innovations which mark the transformation of the institutional spaces closest to the citizens. It also intends to collaborate with several territorial actors in the creation of local/regional expertise on a wide range of areas of knowledge related to the transformation of political culture in a way that contributes to create democracies of "high intensity".

The electronic portal, the main instrument for the dissemination of materials and information from PEOPLES' a, aims to build a broad virtual library that reflects the diversity of participatory practices, active partnerships between the government and the social fabric, as well as the theoretical and methodological reflections developed around them. In line with our mission, the Portal and, consequently, the available materials and information are free to the public access.
